How to Make Sure Your Outdoor Kitchen Survives the Winter
Did your outdoor kitchen survive the winter? With more snow on it’s way, it’s important to make sure that your outdoor kitchen is capable of withstanding cold winter temperatures so that you can utilize and enjoy it all summer! Here are a few tips from House Logic to help make sure that your outdoor kitchen is properly winterized.
Outdoor Winterizing Tips:
- Refrigerator & Ice Maker – Remove any ice from the trays and wipe down the interiors to remove moisture. You should also avoid covering these appliances to keep moisture from getting trapped and damaging the electrical parts.
- Sink – Close the shutoff valves and disconnect hot and cold water supply lines. Make sure that everything is drained to avoid problems in freezing temperatures.
- Stone Countertops – Seal your counter tops to prevent leaf stains, cracks, and chips.
